Orientation 2024

Fall 2024 Orientation

Thursday, August 22 – Sunday, August 25th

Orientation kicks off with Move-In on Thursday, August 22. Our community will be ready to welcome you and help you move into your new home away from home. You will be able to sign up for a move-in time soon. We’ll update this page when the timeslots and sign-ups are ready. Don’t worry; you’ll have plenty of time to settle in before Orientation programming begins.

After moving in, get ready for a fun-filled weekend of Orientation activities! You will get together with your new floor mates, gather for a bar-b-que, and join the rest of the class for evenings filled with fun and games! We’re still finalizing the full schedule and will post details at the end of May!

First-Year Students:

Orientation is an incredibly important part of your St. Mike’s experience where you get to know your new classmates, learn about the resources available on campus, and explore your new home! There will be a variety of activities throughout the weekend so there is something for everyone — we’ll see you there!

Saint Michael's College celebrates Move In Day.Transfer Students:

College is not new to you but St. Mike’s is! As part of Orientation, there will be a session just for you where you can get to know other transfer students and learn about your new community and we encourage to participate in all the Orientation activities.

Parents and Families:

Parents and families, we haven’t forgotten about you! There will be special Orientation sessions for you to learn about St. Mike’s, ask any lingering questions, and meet members of the Saint Michael’s College community and other new Purple Knight families.

Can’t wait until August? Check out these other opportunities!

If you are especially excited to get to know St. Mike’s, check out the Pre-Orientation Welcome Program (POW) and the SOAR Summer Bridge Program! You can join these optional student-led adventures that will include outdoor activities, meeting and learning from St. Mike’s students, and building connections that will help you transition to college before you join us for Orientation in August.
